Sowar (magazine)

Sowar was a British illustrated monthly military magazine published between 1920 and 1945. Its full title was Sowar: An Illustrated Journal of Army Life. The magazine focused primarily on the British Indian Army and its associated units and personnel. Content included articles about military history, regimental activities, sporting events, social life, and personal anecdotes from soldiers serving in India and elsewhere. It also contained photographs, illustrations, and cartoons related to army life. The magazine aimed to connect serving and former officers and other ranks of the British Indian Army and to provide a sense of community. It ceased publication at the end of World War II.
