A Farewell to Arms (Futurama)

"A Farewell to Arms" is the fourth episode of the seventh season of the animated television series Futurama. It first aired on Comedy Central on June 20, 2012. The episode is a parody of Ernest Hemingway's novel of the same name, "A Farewell to Arms," and features a premise centered around a doomsday prophecy involving an exploding Mars and the survival of a pregnant Amy Wong.

The episode begins with Professor Farnsworth discovering a series of ancient Martian scrolls that predict the imminent destruction of Mars. The scrolls foretell that Mars will explode, and that two chosen people, representing the "male and female Martian" of the next world, must be on a spaceship to ensure humanity's survival. After a series of comedic events, Amy Wong and Fry are chosen as the pair and are launched into space on the Planet Express ship just before Mars explodes.

During their journey, Amy discovers she is pregnant.
