South West Wiltshire (UK Parliament constituency)
South West Wiltshire is a constituency in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. It was created for the 2010 general election, largely replacing the former Westbury constituency. It covers a primarily rural area in the southwest of Wiltshire, including towns such as Warminster, Westbury, Mere, and Tisbury. The constituency is generally considered a safe seat for the Conservative Party. The current Member of Parliament (MP) is Andrew Murrison, who has held the seat since its creation. The boundaries of the constituency encompass parts of the former districts of West Wiltshire and Salisbury. Economically, the area is driven by agriculture, tourism, and some light industry.
