Sombrio River (Brazil)
The Sombrio River is a river located in the state of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. It flows generally eastward, forming a portion of the border between the municipalities of Balneário Gaivota and Passo de Torres. The river empties into the Atlantic Ocean near the town of Balneário Sombrio. The river basin is characterized by coastal plains and associated wetlands. Economic activities in the region include agriculture and tourism.
