Solace (Rüfüs Du Sol album)

Solace is the third studio album by Australian alternative dance group Rüfüs Du Sol, released on October 26, 2018. It was released on both Sweat It Out and Reprise Records. The album explores themes of heartbreak, loss, and the search for inner peace and connection amidst personal turmoil, stemming from events occurring within the band members' lives. Musically, Solace leans towards a darker and more atmospheric sound compared to the band's previous work, incorporating elements of progressive house and techno while maintaining their signature melodic sensibility. The album was preceded by the singles "Lost in My Mind," "Underwater," and "Treat You Better." Solace peaked at number 2 on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its emotional depth and sonic maturity. It also earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020.
