Sling is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Clairo, released on July 16, 2021, through Fader Label.
Background and Recording:
Following the success of her debut album Immunity (2019), Clairo began conceptualizing Sling during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The album's sound marks a departure from the more electronic and pop-oriented stylings of her previous work, leaning instead towards a softer, folk-influenced sound. The change in direction was reportedly inspired by artists like Carole King and Joni Mitchell. Much of the album was recorded at Allaire Studios in Shokan, New York. Clairo co-produced Sling with Jack Antonoff, known for his work with artists such as Taylor Swift and Lorde.
