Sikyonioi
Sikyonioi refers to the inhabitants or citizens of Sikyon, an ancient Greek city-state located in the northern Peloponnese, between Corinth and Achaea. The term could also denote things pertaining to or originating from Sikyon, such as its art, culture, or political institutions. Historically, Sikyon was known for its artistic contributions, particularly in painting and sculpture, as well as for its political instability and shifting alliances throughout its history. The Sikyonioi were of Dorian descent and spoke a dialect of the Greek language. They were engaged in agriculture, commerce, and the arts, contributing to the wider cultural landscape of ancient Greece.
