Alive and Kickin' (album)
Alive and Kickin' is the self-titled debut album by the American blue-eyed soul band Alive and Kickin'. Released in 1969 on Roulette Records, it is best known for featuring the band's hit single, "Tighter, Tighter," which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album largely consists of pop-rock songs with a horn-driven sound typical of the era. The other tracks on the album, while not achieving the same commercial success as "Tighter, Tighter," showcase the band's musical abilities and range. The album remains a notable example of late 1960s pop music.
