Sid Mark

Sid Mark (1933-2024) was an American radio broadcaster, best known for his long-running program, The Sounds of Sinatra. He hosted the show from 1957 until his death, making it one of the longest-running single-artist themed radio programs in broadcast history.

The Sounds of Sinatra featured music primarily by Frank Sinatra, along with anecdotes, trivia, and commentary relating to Sinatra's life and career. Mark became a close friend of Sinatra's and was considered a foremost authority on his music. The program originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was eventually syndicated to stations across the United States and internationally. Mark's distinctive voice and encyclopedic knowledge of Sinatra's discography made him a beloved figure among Sinatra fans worldwide. Beyond his broadcasting career, Mark was also involved in philanthropic endeavors.
