Shola (album)
Shola is a 2000 studio album by Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress Shola Ama. It was her second and final studio album, released following her debut, Much Love, in 1997. The album featured collaborations with prominent producers and artists, aiming for a more mature and contemporary R&B sound compared to her earlier work. While Shola received some critical acclaim for its production and vocal performances, it was not as commercially successful as Much Love. The album spawned several singles, but none achieved the same level of chart success as her earlier hits. Consequently, it is considered to be her last major release, after which she stepped away from the music industry for an extended period. The album's themes largely revolve around relationships, personal growth, and navigating life experiences as a young woman.
