Shade 3D

Shade 3D is a general-purpose 3D modeling, rendering, and animation software package originally developed by Mirye Software and later maintained and distributed by e frontier, and subsequently, Shade3D Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Mirage Co., Ltd.).

Primarily aimed at professionals and hobbyists in areas like product design, architecture, interior design, and character design, Shade 3D provides tools for creating 3D models from scratch, importing existing 3D models, and generating photorealistic or stylized renderings and animations. It supports a variety of modeling techniques, including polygonal modeling, spline modeling, and metaballs.

The software offers a comprehensive feature set including lighting and shading controls, texturing capabilities, animation tools, and compatibility with various file formats for import and export. Shade 3D also includes scripting support, allowing users to automate tasks and customize the software's functionality. Over its lifetime, various versions have been released targeting different skill levels and budgetary constraints, including professional and standard editions.
