Serebro

Serebro (Russian: Серебро, IPA: [sʲɪrʲɪˈbro], meaning "Silver") was a Russian girl group formed in 2007 by music producer Maxim Fadeev. Originally composed of Olga Seryabkina, Elena Temnikova, and Marina Lizorkina, the group represented Russia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 with the song "Song #1", finishing in third place.

Following their Eurovision debut, Serebro achieved considerable commercial success, releasing several singles that topped Russian and international charts. Notable songs include "Opium", "Скажи, не молчи" (Skazhi, ne molchi - Tell Me, Don't Be Silent), "Mama Lover", and "Mi Mi Mi".

Throughout its existence, Serebro underwent numerous lineup changes. Elena Temnikova left in 2014, followed by Marina Lizorkina in 2009. Olga Seryabkina, the last remaining original member, departed in 2019. Despite these changes, Maxim Fadeev continued to manage the group, introducing new members through open auditions.

Serebro's music style incorporated elements of pop, dance-pop, and electronic music. Their provocative image and music videos often generated discussion and controversy. The group disbanded in 2020 after a final lineup change and the expiration of their contract with Maxim Fadeev's MALFA label.
