Selah (group)

Selah is a contemporary Christian vocal trio originating from Nashville, Tennessee. The group is known for its modern arrangements of hymns, as well as original songs, often incorporating elements of Celtic, classical, and world music.

Founded in 1997 by Todd Smith, Allan Hall, and Nicol Sponberg, the group has experienced several lineup changes. Nicol Sponberg left in 2005 and was replaced by Melissa (Barlow) Bryant. Allan Hall departed in 2008, leading Amy Perry to join. In 2013, Allan Hall returned to the group, and in 2024, Amy Perry announced her departure, after which she was replaced by Lauren Daigle as a touring member.

Selah has released numerous albums, earning Dove Awards and achieving significant success on Christian radio. Their music often focuses on themes of faith, hope, and redemption, and they are recognized for their tight harmonies and uplifting message. Some of their most well-known songs include "You Raise Me Up," "Wonderful, Merciful Savior," and "Bless the Broken Road." They continue to tour and record, maintaining a prominent presence in the contemporary Christian music scene.
