Scorton railway station (Lancashire)

Scorton railway station served the village of Scorton in Lancashire, England, on the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway. It opened in 1840, and closed to passengers in 1939. Goods traffic continued until 1964. The station was situated to the west of the village, on the north side of the road to Garstang. The main station building was located on the down (southbound) platform. Today, little remains of the station, though the line continues to be used by West Coast Main Line services. The site is now mainly farmland.
