Schwedt/Oder is a town in Brandenburg, Germany, located on the Oder River, which forms the border with Poland. As of 2023, its population is approximately 30,000.

History: Schwedt's history dates back to the 13th century. It gained importance in the 17th century as the residence of a branch of the Hohenzollern dynasty, the Margraves of Brandenburg-Schwedt. This period saw the construction of Schwedt Castle (Schloss Schwedt), although the castle was largely destroyed in World War II and later demolished.
