Scarborough High School (Texas)
Scarborough High School is a public high school located in Houston, Texas, United States. It is part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD). The school serves students in grades 9 through 12.
Established in 1968, Scarborough High School is named after William Sanders Scarborough, the first African American to earn a PhD in the United States. The school's mascot is the Spartan.
Scarborough High School offers a variety of academic programs, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses and career and technical education (CTE) programs. It also offers a range of extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, and organizations.
The school is located in the Northwest Forest neighborhood of Houston. Its attendance boundary generally includes areas west of US 290 and north of Hempstead Road. Students residing within the attendance zone are zoned to Scarborough High School. The school also accepts students through HISD's magnet program.
