San Sebastián Airport (Chile)
San Sebastián Airport (ICAO: SCSB) is a small, public-use airport located near the settlement of San Sebastián in the Magallanes Region of southern Chile, on the Chilean side of Tierra del Fuego. The airport serves the local community and primarily handles general aviation traffic. Its proximity to the Argentina–Chile border also makes it a potential transit point for flights between the two countries, although strict customs and immigration procedures are in place. The airport's infrastructure is relatively basic, consisting of a single unpaved runway. There are typically no scheduled commercial flights to or from San Sebastián Airport. Its operations are heavily influenced by the often-harsh weather conditions prevalent in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago. Navigational aids are limited, and pilots flying to or from the airport require careful planning and adherence to visual flight rules (VFR).
