Braväcovo
Braväcovo is a village and municipality in the Brezno District of the Banská Bystrica Region of central Slovakia. It is located in the Nízke Tatry (Low Tatras) mountain range.
The municipality covers an area of approximately 27.75 square kilometers (10.71 sq mi), and as of 2020, had a population of around 640.
Historically, the village was primarily an agricultural and forestry community. While these sectors still play a role, tourism has become increasingly important due to the village's location near popular hiking and skiing areas within the Low Tatras National Park.
Braväcovo is accessible by road and is situated relatively close to the larger town of Brezno, which serves as a regional center. The village offers accommodation options and services for tourists visiting the surrounding mountains.
