Sam Page (politician)

Sam Page is an American politician and physician serving as the St. Louis County Executive since 2019. A Democrat, he was previously a member of the St. Louis County Council representing the 2nd District from 2009 to 2019, and served as Council Chairman for several years.

Page holds a medical degree and practiced as an anesthesiologist before entering politics. As County Executive, he is the chief executive officer of St. Louis County, Missouri, responsible for overseeing county government operations, including public health, law enforcement, transportation, and economic development.

Key issues during his tenure have included managing the COVID-19 pandemic response in the county, addressing racial equity and social justice, and promoting economic growth. He has also focused on infrastructure improvements and environmental sustainability.

His appointment as County Executive followed the death of then-County Executive Steve Stenger, and he subsequently won election to the position in his own right. His term expires in 2026.
