Sam Barry

Sam Barry (1892-1950) was an American college athlete, coach, and athletic administrator. He is best known for his long tenure at the University of Southern California (USC), where he coached multiple sports, most notably baseball and basketball.

Barry was a three-sport athlete at USC, playing baseball, basketball, and football. After graduating, he began his coaching career, eventually returning to USC.

At USC, Barry served as the head baseball coach from 1925 to 1950, leading the Trojans to multiple national championships. He also served as the head basketball coach for several seasons, and held various administrative positions within the athletic department.
