Gary Wilkinson (snooker player)

Gary Wilkinson is a former professional snooker player from England. While he never reached the very top tier of the sport, he was a consistent competitor throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Wilkinson turned professional in 1982. He reached the quarter-finals of the 1987 World Snooker Championship, his best performance in a major ranking event. He also achieved a world ranking of 27 during his career.

Beyond the World Championship quarter-final, Wilkinson had several other notable performances, including reaching the last 16 of various other tournaments. He was known for his solid, dependable game rather than flamboyant brilliance.

Wilkinson retired from professional snooker in 2004.
