Salem City School District (New Jersey)

The Salem City School District is a comprehensive community public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Salem, New Jersey, United States. It is located in Salem City, the county seat of Salem County.

As of the 2022-23 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, served 1,172 students and employed 117.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.0:1.

The district's schools are Salem High School (grades 9-12), Salem Middle School (grades 6-8), and Salem City Elementary School (pre-K - 5).

The district operates under the supervision of the New Jersey Department of Education. Leadership is provided by a superintendent and a board of education composed of publicly elected officials.
