Sadako 3D

Sadako 3D is a 2012 Japanese horror film directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa. It is a reboot of the Ring film series, based on Koji Suzuki's novel of the same name. The film attempts to modernize the iconic Sadako legend for a contemporary audience, incorporating elements of internet and digital technology into the curse's propagation.

The plot centers around Akane Ayukawa, a high school teacher who investigates a mysterious online video rumored to cause viewers to commit suicide. She soon discovers a connection between the video and a man named Kashiwada, who was obsessed with resurrecting Sadako Yamamura. As people around Akane begin to die, she must confront the revived Sadako, who manifests in both physical and digital forms. The film utilizes 3D technology to enhance the horror elements, with Sadako's presence and the curse's effects depicted in a more visceral and visually impactful way. The sequel, Sadako 3D 2, was released in 2013.
