Ryan Johnson (footballer, born 1984)

Ryan Johnson (born July 25, 1984) is a Jamaican-Canadian retired professional soccer player who played as a forward.

Career

Johnson began his professional career in the United States with the Chicago Fire Reserves in 2002. He then played for the Portland Timbers (USL) and Montreal Impact (USL) before moving to Europe. He played for Swedish clubs Östers IF, Bodens BK, and Syrianska FC.

Johnson returned to North America and joined the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer (MLS) in 2008. He was later traded to Toronto FC in 2011, becoming a key player for the club. He also played for D.C. United and the Chicago Fire during his MLS career.

International Career

Johnson represented the Jamaican national team, making his debut in 2008. He earned multiple caps for Jamaica and participated in several international competitions, including World Cup qualifying matches.
