Robert Kerr (Canadian politician)

Robert Kerr (born circa 1860, died 1945) was a Canadian politician. He served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing the riding of Fort William from 1919 to 1923. He was a member of the United Farmers of Ontario (UFO) - Labour coalition government.

Kerr was a prominent figure in the labour movement in Fort William (now Thunder Bay), Ontario prior to his entry into provincial politics. He worked as a machinist and was actively involved in advocating for the rights of workers.

In the 1919 Ontario general election, Kerr successfully contested the Fort William riding, riding the wave of support for the UFO - Labour coalition. He served a single term in the legislature, contributing to the policies of the government led by Premier Ernest Drury. His legislative work primarily focused on issues concerning labor and resource management.

Kerr did not seek re-election in the 1923 Ontario general election. After leaving provincial politics, he returned to Fort William, where he remained active in community affairs and the labour movement.
