Robert Chapman (cricketer)
Robert Chapman (born 19 February 1880, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Derbyshire between 1904 and 1914.
Chapman was born in Derby. He made his debut for Derbyshire in the 1904 season against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). He played ten matches in that season and took 31 wickets. In the 1905 season, he played nine matches and took 23 wickets. Chapman played seven matches in the 1906 season, and took 25 wickets.
Chapman was not in the Derbyshire side for 1907 and 1908, but played one game in 1909. After another gap, he played one game in 1912, two in 1913 and a final game in 1914. Chapman was a right-arm medium-fast bowler and took 81 first-class wickets at an average of 25.19, with a best performance of 6 for 54. He was a right-handed batsman and played 30 innings in 21 first-class matches with a top score of 19 and an average of 5.40.
