Robert Carson (baseball)

Robert Carson (born October 27, 1989) is an American former professional baseball pitcher.

Carson attended Lamar High School in Houston, Texas, and played college baseball at Lamar University. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the second round of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft.

Carson played in the Mets' minor league system from 2011 to 2014, reaching as high as the Triple-A level with the Las Vegas 51s. He was known for his fastball and slider combination. While in the minor leagues, he worked primarily as a relief pitcher.

Carson was released by the Mets organization in 2014. After his release, he played independent league baseball.
