Chrudimka

The Chrudimka is a river in the Czech Republic. It flows primarily through the Pardubice Region. Its source is near the village of Filipov, in the Žďárské vrchy (Žďár Hills). The Chrudimka flows generally in a northwesterly direction, passing through towns and villages including Chrudim (from which it derives its name), Slatiňany, and Pardubice, where it eventually joins the Elbe (Labe) River. The river is approximately 107 kilometers (66 miles) long. The Chrudimka and its valley are popular for recreation, including hiking and cycling. The valley also contains several culturally and historically significant sites, including castles and other historical landmarks. The water quality varies along its length and is monitored regularly.
