Rhosesmor
Rhosesmor is a village and community in Flintshire, Wales, situated approximately 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Mold. Historically part of the parish of Halkyn, it is now a distinct community.
The name Rhosesmor is derived from the Welsh words "rhos" (moor, heath) and "esmor" (great esm), possibly referring to a large heath or moorland area.
The area is primarily agricultural, with some residential development. The surrounding landscape is characterised by rolling hills and farmland.
Rhosesmor contains a primary school, Ysgol Rhos Helyg. The village also has a village hall which serves as a community centre for various events and activities.
Historically, lead mining played a significant role in the local economy, although this industry has largely declined. Remnants of the mining activity can still be seen in the surrounding landscape.
The community is governed by a community council.
