Reynolds Field (Northwestern)

Reynolds Field was a multi-purpose athletic field located on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Primarily used for football and baseball, it served as the home field for the Northwestern Wildcats in these sports from 1882 to 1925. It was named in honor of John P. Reynolds, a prominent Northwestern alumnus and benefactor. Reynolds Field was situated near the current location of the Technological Institute. After its use as an athletic field ceased, the area was repurposed for academic buildings and other university facilities. The field played a significant role in the early development of Northwestern's athletic programs and witnessed many significant contests in its history.
