Bill Cope (footballer)

William "Bill" Cope (born 27 September 1922, date of death unknown) was an English professional footballer who played as a forward.

Cope began his career with Sheffield Wednesday during World War II as a wartime guest player. After the war, he signed for Derby County in 1946, where he made a handful of appearances. In 1948, he moved to Carlisle United and became a more regular fixture in the team. He later played for Mansfield Town, making a significant contribution to their forward line. His career concluded with a stint at Boston United. Details of his life outside of football are limited.
