Reinaldo (footballer, born 1953)
Reinaldo (José Reinaldo de Lima), born January 11, 1953, is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a forward. He is widely considered one of the greatest players in the history of Atlético Mineiro and a significant figure in Brazilian football during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Reinaldo spent the majority of his club career with Atlético Mineiro, where he became the club's all-time leading scorer. His playing style was characterized by his exceptional dribbling skills, powerful shot, and goal-scoring ability. He won multiple Campeonato Mineiro titles with Atlético Mineiro.
At the international level, Reinaldo represented Brazil at the 1978 FIFA World Cup in Argentina. He scored one goal in the tournament, but his involvement was limited due to injury. He was also part of the Brazilian squad for several other international competitions.
