One Touch (Sugababes album)
One Touch is the debut studio album by British girl group Sugababes. It was released on 11 December 2000 by London Records. The album spawned four singles: "Overload", "New Year", "Run for Cover", and "Soul Sound". While One Touch achieved moderate commercial success, peaking at number 26 on the UK Albums Chart and being certified Gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), it failed to meet the commercial expectations of London Records. This ultimately led to the original lineup of the Sugababes – Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena, and Keisha Buchanan – being dropped from the label in 2001. Despite its initial lukewarm reception, One Touch has retrospectively been praised for its unique blend of pop, R&B, and electronica influences and is now considered a cult classic among fans. It is also noted for showcasing the group's raw and experimental sound before their later commercial success with subsequent lineups and albums.
