Ready to Die (The Stooges album)

Ready to Die is the fifth studio album by American rock band The Stooges, released on April 30, 2013, by Columbia Records. It was their first album of original material since 1973's Raw Power, and the third album to feature the reunited lineup of Iggy Pop, guitarist James Williamson, drummer Scott Asheton, and bassist Mike Watt (replacing Dave Alexander and Ron Asheton, who had both since passed away).

The album's title, Ready to Die, reflects the band's age and awareness of mortality. The songs on the album are characterized by a raw, energetic sound reminiscent of the band's earlier work, but with a more modern production style.
