Randy Phillips (airman)

Randy Phillips is a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He served as the 16th Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, holding the highest enlisted rank and position in the Air Force. In this role, he served as the personal advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force and the Secretary of the Air Force on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and effective utilization of the Air Force's enlisted force.

Phillips enlisted in the Air Force in 1975. He served in a variety of operational and staff assignments, including roles in aircraft maintenance, transportation, and human resources. Prior to becoming Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for Air Mobility Command.

Phillips retired from the Air Force on June 5, 2009, after over 33 years of service. His decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, and the Meritorious Service Medal.
