Puigverd (Tremp)
Puigverd is a village in the municipality of Tremp, in the comarca of Pallars Jussà, Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the northern part of the municipality, on a hillside overlooking the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa river.
The village is situated at an altitude of approximately 850 meters above sea level. Its economy is primarily based on agriculture and livestock farming.
Historically, Puigverd was part of the former municipality of Espluga de Serra until it was integrated into Tremp in the 1970s. The village features a small Romanesque church, dedicated to Saint Martin. Its architecture reflects typical rural Catalan styles. The population of Puigverd is small and has declined in recent decades, reflecting the general trend of rural depopulation in the Pyrenees.
