Derazhne

Derazhne (Ukrainian: Деражне, Polish: Derażne, Russian: Деражное) is a village in Rivne Oblast, Ukraine. It is located in the Kostopil Raion.

Historically, Derazhne was part of Poland, specifically within the Volhynia region. Following the Partitions of Poland, it became part of the Russian Empire and later, after World War I, was returned to Poland. After World War II, it became part of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic within the Soviet Union, and is now part of independent Ukraine.

The village has a documented Jewish history, with a Jewish population present before the Holocaust. The Jewish community of Derazhne was largely destroyed during the Nazi occupation of World War II. The economy of Derazhne is primarily agricultural.
