Potliquor (album)
Potliquor is the self-titled debut album by the American rock band Potliquor. It was released in 1970 on Janus Records. The album is considered a prime example of Southern rock, blending blues, rock and roll, and country influences. Notable tracks include "Louisiana Blues," a cover of a Muddy Waters song, and "Cheer," an original composition. The album's raw energy and musicianship helped establish Potliquor's place in the Southern rock scene. The original album cover features the band members sitting around a table, with a pot of the namesake "pot liquor." Critically, the album was well-received and helped to solidify the band's early reputation. The band's lineup consisted of members from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
