Patrick Holland (ice hockey)

Patrick Holland (born October 4, 1991) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He currently plays for the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Holland was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (205th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning professional, he played junior hockey for the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Guelph Storm and Montreal Juniors of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Holland signed an entry-level contract with the Flames organization but ultimately never played for them in the NHL. He spent several seasons playing in the AHL for the Abbotsford Heat. He was traded to the Montreal Canadiens organization in 2013.

He made his NHL debut with the Montreal Canadiens during the 2013-14 season, appearing in five games. He also played for the Hamilton Bulldogs, the Canadiens' AHL affiliate.

Following his time in Montreal, Holland spent time in the St. Louis Blues organization, playing for their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves. He has also played in Europe, including stints in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).

Holland is a versatile forward known for his skating ability and playmaking skills. He has consistently demonstrated the ability to contribute offensively at the AHL level throughout his career.
