Partners in Crime (American TV series)
Partners in Crime was an American television series that aired on NBC in the fall of 1984. The hour-long, detective-comedy drama starred Loni Anderson and Lynda Carter as two former partners, Carole Standish (Anderson) and Sydney Kovak (Carter), who unexpectedly reunite after several years apart.
The premise of the series involved Carole, a sophisticated interior decorator, and Sydney, a street-smart photographer, inheriting a detective agency from their former boss, a private investigator who had recently died. Reluctantly, they decide to take over the agency and work together to solve cases, often clashing due to their different personalities and approaches.
The show was known for its light-hearted tone, emphasizing humor and the chemistry between Anderson and Carter. Despite its attempts at blending action and comedy, Partners in Crime received mixed reviews and struggled in the ratings. It was ultimately cancelled after only 13 episodes.
