Rob Gore

Rob Gore is an American emergency medicine physician and community activist known for his work in combating gun violence in Rochester, New York. He is the founder of the Minority Male Community Coalition (MMCC), a program aimed at empowering young men of color and reducing violence through mentorship, education, and access to resources.

Gore completed his medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University and his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His experiences treating victims of gun violence in the emergency room led him to recognize the need for proactive, community-based interventions.

The MMCC focuses on addressing the root causes of violence by providing opportunities for young men to develop positive relationships, enhance their educational attainment, and gain access to employment opportunities.
