USS Moosehead

The USS Moosehead was the name of two ships that served in the United States Navy.

• USS Moosehead (ID-2047): A wooden-hulled screw steamer acquired by the Navy during World War I. She served as a district craft in the 1st Naval District, based in Boston, Massachusetts. She was returned to her owner after the war.

• USS Moosehead (AG-131): A motor torpedo boat tender that served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. She provided support and maintenance for PT boats and played a role in various operations throughout the island campaigns. She was decommissioned after the war.
