Paramulia

Paramulia is a genus of sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Pleurotomariidae, the slit snails. These snails are characterized by their deep slit or notch in the shell margin, a feature related to the mantle cavity and respiration. Paramulia species are generally found in deep-water environments and are relatively rare. They share common characteristics with other Pleurotomariidae, including a pearly interior to the shell. Due to their rarity, detailed information on the biology and ecology of Paramulia species is often limited.
