Pallisa

Pallisa is a town in Eastern Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative, and commercial center of Pallisa District.

Location:

Pallisa is located approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) southwest of Mbale, the largest city in the Eastern Region of Uganda. It lies along the main highway connecting Mbale to Soroti. Its geographical coordinates are approximately 1°10'00.0"N, 33°41'00.0"E (Latitude: 1.166667; Longitude: 33.683333).

Overview:

Pallisa serves as a key trading center for agricultural produce from the surrounding rural areas. The town has a central market, several schools, health facilities, and government offices. It is a relatively small but growing urban center.
