Omšenie
Omšenie is a village and municipality in Trenčín District in the Trenčín Region of western Slovakia. The village lies at an altitude of 340 meters and covers an area of 24.238 km². It has a population of about 1900 people.
Historically, the area was part of the Kingdom of Hungary. The first written record of Omšenie dates back to 1332. The village is situated in a valley surrounded by the Strážovské vrchy mountains, making it a popular location for hiking and outdoor activities. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and forestry. The village also has a church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist.
