North Somerset (UK Parliament constituency)

North Somerset is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2015 by Liam Fox, a Conservative. It is located in the South West of England.

The constituency was created in 2010 from parts of the former Woodspring constituency and a small part of the former Northavon constituency. It covers a largely rural area south of Bristol, including towns such as Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, and Yatton, and many villages. The area is generally considered affluent, with a significant commuter population working in Bristol.

Historically, the area has been a Conservative stronghold. Liam Fox held the seat with a significant majority in the 2015, 2017, and 2019 general elections. Before the creation of North Somerset, Woodspring was a Conservative seat from its creation in 1983 until its abolition in 2010.

The constituency's boundaries are defined by the Boundary Commission for England. The electorate size varies slightly from election to election.
