HV71
HV71 is a Swedish professional ice hockey club based in Jönköping. The "HV" stands for "Huskvarna Vätterstad," referencing the neighboring town of Huskvarna and Lake Vättern. The club was formed in 1971 through a merger of two local clubs, Husqvarna IF and Vätterstads IK.
HV71 has won the Swedish Championship five times, in 1995, 2004, 2008, 2010, and 2017. They play their home games at Kinnarps Arena. The team is a prominent member of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), the highest tier of ice hockey in Sweden.
The club has a strong tradition of developing young players and has seen many of its alumni go on to play in the National Hockey League (NHL) and other professional leagues around the world. HV71 is known for its passionate fanbase and its significant role in the Jönköping community.
