Nicholas Saunders (died 1649)

Nicholas Saunders (died 1649) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1640.

Details of Saunders' life are scarce. He was elected Member of Parliament for Callington in the Long Parliament in November 1640, but his election was declared void in December 1640. He appears to have had some association with West Dean, Wiltshire, as a brass memorial there mentions a Nicholas Saunders who died in 1649. It's possible, but not definitively proven, that this is the same Nicholas Saunders who briefly served as an MP. Further research is needed to confirm biographical details and political affiliations.
