Andy Ngo
Andy Ngo (born c. 1986) is an American conservative journalist, author, and social media personality known for his coverage of protests and political events, particularly those involving antifa and other left-wing groups. He is editor-at-large of The Post Millennial, a Canadian online news publication.
Ngo's work has been the subject of considerable controversy. Supporters view him as a courageous reporter documenting violence and extremism. Critics accuse him of biased reporting, misrepresenting facts, and promoting right-wing narratives. His focus on antifa has drawn accusations of exaggerating the group's influence and downplaying right-wing violence.
Ngo has been physically assaulted at protests, most notably in Portland, Oregon, in 2019. These incidents have been widely publicized and have fueled debate about freedom of the press and the safety of journalists covering contentious events.
His book, "Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy," published in 2021, further solidified his position as a prominent voice on the subject of antifa and related political movements. The book received mixed reviews, with some praising its detailed accounts of antifa activities and others criticizing its methodology and conclusions.
