Niagara (band)

Niagara was a French new wave and synth-pop band active from 1982 to 1993. They were formed in Rennes by singer Muriel Moreno and keyboardist Daniel Chenevez. The duo achieved significant commercial success in France throughout the 1980s with hits such as "Tchiki Boum," "L'Amour à la plage," "Je dois m'en aller," "Quand la ville dort," and "J'ai vu."

Their music blended catchy melodies with synthesized arrangements and Moreno's distinctive vocals. Niagara became known for their energetic performances and glamorous image, contributing to their popularity during the new wave era.

Following their breakup in 1993, both Moreno and Chenevez pursued solo projects. Muriel Moreno released a solo album under the name "Muriel Moreno" in 1996. Daniel Chenevez has continued to work in music production and composition.

Niagara's music remains popular in France and is considered an iconic part of the 1980s French pop scene.
